Pokémon TCG – Chaos Rising Release & Pitch Black Reveal
The Pokémon Trading Card Game continues its momentum with the upcoming release of Mega Evolution: Chaos Rising.
Prerelease events will take place globally from May 9–May 17, 2026, giving players an early chance to experience the set.



The standout card of Chaos Rising is Mega Greninja ex, featured as the premier chase card with the gold SIR slot. Early tournament results from Japan show the card already making an impact in competitive play, suggesting it could shape the English meta upon release.

Looking ahead, The Pokémon Company also revealed the next set: Mega Evolution: Pitch Black.
The sets main mascot, Darkrai! Introducing the first card of Mega Darkrai ex, marking what could be a major turning point for Dark-type decks. Since the rotation of “F” regulation cards, the meta has shifted significantly, leaving Dark archetypes behind—until now.


With new support cards expected, Darkrai may finally push Dark-type decks back into competitive relevance.
